Side effect of custom grid resolution...
« on: October 20, 2008, 06:55:10 am »

I love the new custom grid setting so that you can see what's going on. I noticed an unfortunate side-effect...

I was playing in a white sand desert, building a selenite stronghold over the flat plain. The problem is that every time I looked away from the computer, I got blurred hazy lines over my vision so much that I couldn't see for a few minutes. I guess it's from the black/white contrast with hundreds of ~~~~~'s all lined up over the whole screen. Wow.. @_@

I think I'm going blind.

You know a game is epic when someone goes blind playing it.

Like when your so attached to your dwarves, it hurts you a tinny little bit to tell the last one to pull the lever sealing their fate

Military dorfs are the busiest if their partner is also in the military, Military children are my forts future, also its hilariously tragic when a mother carrying her child into battle gets hit, and the baby dies....
I fixed that up for you.

The mad cackling afterwards makes that feeling go away.

At least your blindness was not caused by the constant switching between red and yellow.

Oh god, who knew virtual fires could burn your eyes so...

Buck up friendo, we're all on the level here.
I would bet money Andrew has edited things retroactively, except I can't prove anything because it was edited retroactively.
