Yeah, the permissions don't matter.  It's only certain folders like cgi-local and my web statistics folder, so perhaps it is something more on their end, since those seem like the deeper folders.

Do you mean that the permissions are set correctly?

Permissions for any CGI file on a website should always be set to grant Execute privileges, or the file absolutely will not work.
Many servers are also configured so that CGI files need to be located in a single specific /cgi-bin/ folder at the root of the site, but that doesn't look to be the problem here unless they just didn't configure it correctly on their end with the move.

Yeah, that's what I meant.  The permissions are set permissively and yet they do not permit!  I've contacted the support peoples.

Wow, that brings back memories.
Would it be possible to get a layout like that old one?
Maybe a possibility would be a layout option for each section?

Woo, I love how we go from "Why are they not working?!" to "Whoa they look awesome" with NO transitioning.

In other words, apparently the support people did something and they work now.

And that's..  not what I just said?
Anyway, Toady really had nothing to do with it from what I understand above..  He sent a message to the website supporty people and they fixed it.
Common courtesy (thank you/you're welcome/etc) on the internet?  I had no idea that was even still around.  I haven't actually seen anybody else use it for at least six years...
Enough of this though.  The old forums work now, the only point of this thread is now moot.

Ehm...you've made your post while I was writing my short message, but I don't really understand your problem at all. While it wasn't Toady, who was fixing it, he took the time and contacted the support about it. Now the old wiki links are working again. Why shouldn't I say a "thank you" or whatever? I find it hard to believe that you are trying to argue about anything like this. [IE: And that's..  not what I just said?]  ::)

Go to the link at the top of the page that says "Profile" then on the left click "Look and Layout" change your theme to Darkling.
