"delete" waterpressure possible?

just wanted to ask if someone ever tried a construction like this to delete pressure:

is it possible or will the water stille be pressurized and flood the third space?

Pumps do remove pressure, so I think you can do that - I once did a similar thing in an earlier fort, like this:

  *--w         -/| Horizontal/verticle axles
WW|~~rrrW      r   River
WW|WWWWWW      *   Gear assembly
WW|WWWWWW      w   Waterwheel
WW|WWWWWW
W~%%~~~~~
W~WWWWWWW
WWWWWWWWW

Axles don't block water, so the water from the river flowed down the channel with the vertical axles and behind the pump.

yeah the thing with the axle is considered ;) i know i cant power the pump from outside :)

ok the axle thing i always had in mind but not with the downflow for the water, would be too complicated now ^^

die upper pump is just "empty" on the wall to transfer the power to the other pump with "pump from north" so the "wallside" of the pump is south, the other pumps from west, so i should be able to transfer the power without axles inside the water
