Thoughts on finally getting a stocktake done

I finally found the button to get my hoardmaster to improve his bookkeeping skills. After putting him to work for a bit:

I have 37 Iron Platemails? That seems obsessive.
I have 54 Iron Chainmails?! That's...worrying.
I have 100 Iron Gauntlets!
I have 233 Iron bars!!
I HAVE 756 TANNED HIDES! WHAT HAVE I BEEN DOING?

[head explodes]

I wonder if there's a way to convince my dwarves to all wear leather this season.

Ah, so you've just discovered the stocks list? You'll come to love it soon. Helps to keep track of the 10000+ stone you get from mega projects (stone that needs to be done away with )
