Dwarf Fortress Soundtrack
« on: September 16, 2005, 08:17:00 pm »

The latest Dwarf Fortress movies got me thinking.  When Dwarf Fortress is released, we're going to need music to play in the background (in Winamp or somesuch) while it's running.  So, what music do you people think would be good to listen to while controlling a bunch of dwarves?

Drimascus - Andante C Minor op1 no1
Numa Numa Iei  :)
Stuff from Artificial Music Machine, particularly the ones from Gift Culture and KiloWatts.
Yoko Kanno - Leaving on Red Hill/Night Owl/Sad Strange Cello/Sold your Soul/Visions of Flame

And last but certainly not least, lots and lots of Polka.  :D

Of course, what you're gonna get is me playing my own compositions on the guitar.  Suffer!

I'll make sure you can completely turn them off so you can run winamp too.

Great! A lot of times I like to completely turn off the sound in games so I can listen to music.

As long as you DON'T put "it's a small world after all" on a endless loop, I can stand anything else.

I'm tha lord of tha ringzorz! Or something.

Anyhow, back on topic, I'll probably end up accompanying my adventures in the Dwarf Fortress with various power metal-flavoured tunes. Hammerfall springs to mind; maybe a bit of Blind Guardian, and the like.
