Question on sieges...

So, I've got a fortress with around 96 dwarfs in it, and have so far gotten only minor goblin ambushes which were easily defeated. What do I have to do/how long do I have to wait to get more interesting sieges?

Build up your wealth. Start new industries, expand current industries, make many valuable objects. This will likely attract the attention of goblins, and additionally, a baron, if you haven't gotten him yet.
