Yeah, we've noticed. Quite a popular discussion topic in the last few weeks.

And it's not just dry grass; any grass can catch fire if you try hard enough.

Trees and shrubs don't burn yet, though.

regardless, the slime shooter will be completed, come hell or high water, which are both entirely plausible setbacks at this point.

Do a little creative modding and play as a Spirit of Fire or anything else on !!fire!! that takes your fancy. Watch as each step you take leaves behind an inferno. It's laggy, but it's a helluva lot of fun. (Though you probably know this.) Grabbing a hold of an enemy that wears clothes will, after a few turns, light some of the clothes on fire. What happens next is best seen, not heard!

Does dry grass light easier now? That's pretty awesome. All we need now is a non-enemy way of triggering fires, and we have some seriously awesome disasters.

I have seen magma trigger fires that spread out of control, but  It also seems to smother the fires it causes so it seems effectively random if magma will trigger a brushfire.

Perhaps if magma remained at a high enough level to throw heat out to adjacent tiles without the magma itself spreading to the tile it may cause a fire.  But that's just what I observed, I didn't do any real testing.

If we had a reliable way to trigger such fires we would have yet another way to completely annihilate the already nearly helpless goblins before they got anywhere close to doing damage.

"What is that massive wall of smoke heading towards us captain?"

"I'm not sure, pathing doesn't identify it as magma though so we should be able to go right through it without trouble."

"OH (demon:Onol the fiery flame of flames) MY FLESH! IT BURNS!"

I just hope they won't magically burn... I mean... you can burn down the grass around a tree and have the tree not be on fire... (same with bushes)
