Deer Avenger > Deer Hunter

As an FPS sure.  But Deer Hunter 2005 was a real hunting sim.  It made you feel like a real hunter the way you had to track the prey and everything.  Of course you could also just use all sorts of modern technology to bring the prey to you, but that was kind of lame.  And it didn't actually work as often as one might think.  It was really cool though, you had to look for tracks and scratches on trees and stuff, and if you didn't kill it immediately you had to walk it down and keep trying to find the signs of it's passage.  I only ever played the demo and I didn't really have money when it was new, so I kinda hoped GOG would get it.

Would Mail Order Monsters qualify? If you think about it, it was basically glorified dog fighting, only with genetically-enhanced Ameoboids and dinosaurs instead of dogs.

Was really looking for something that puts the blood in blood sport.  Pokeybots dont have the visceeral impact.  Somethig that ships with an apres shower.  Something that's wrong in every way.
