Ohhh... I'd have so much fun with the army arc. Looting nearby villages and bringing home their women and children to be made into leather is so banditly. Once the magic is done, I'd expect there to be leather golems or something of the sort, so I'll have golems made from the skin of elves :D

And maybe I'll make an evil genius fort powered by windmills and/or underground watermills. Those watermills will be used to power a series of complicated traps involving pressure plates, cave-ins, flooding, and drainage.
