toad bone artifacts

trying to manipulate the material of an artifact by forbidding certain materials will result in the dwarf not using the base material "that he takes anyway". Apparently toad bone out of thin air.

There's another thread about this, and I'm almost certain it's Toady's way of saying "STOP SCREWING WITH MOODS" even though he says he didn't do anything (the game's creating the base material out of the first material it finds in the raws, which happens to be creatures_amphibious.txt and the top one is a toad).

well it would be nice if armourers choose to use more effective materials instead of rose gold and somesuch.
but he did take the steel bar, it just didn't get used

because it was a possession, i lost nothing anyway, i just got toad bone greaves instead of lay pewter...
