[39f] Skeletal Corpses
« on: August 11, 2008, 10:53:28 pm »

A skeletal cave swallowman I killed produced a corpse, as opposed to a pile of bones.

Here's the save: http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=421

Got this bug as well. My butchers even managed to butcher the corpse to give meat. Definitely skeletal and it gave meat, leather, and fat.

What am I looking for here?  I see an active skeletal cave swallowman on top of an unconscious wrestler surrounded by a bunch of bone piles.  The only corpse belongs to a goblin.  I did find something in the code that would cause a failure for caged creatures (though I'm not sure how to make them die in cages in the first place).

Uhhh, sorry, perhaps I should have put some more information here.

Inside the opening of the bottomless pit, on floor -3 I believe, there is a small pile of bones where a swarm of skeletal cave swallowmen attacked my axedwarf, the axedwarf killed them all but one of them left behind a corpse called a Skeletal Cave Swallowman Corpse as opposed to a pile of 5/6 bones and a skull. The body later rotted and produced miasma. I didn't try butchering it though. I'll take a screenshot.

Apparently I uploaded the wrong file, which is why the save had nothing at all to do with the said bug.... I'll try and find where I put the alternative save -.-.

Yep, I apparently accidentally deleted the wrong zip file when meaning to get rid of an old bug report, and I don't have the correct save anymore. I apologize.

Here's a save of the same thing, but in 39e.

http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=472

Skeletal Horse corpse is a little to the west of where the river forks, one z-level below the surface. Maybe something to do with the adjacent bridge or weapon trap, as I earlier had another skellyhorse corpse one tile north of there.

The raccoon's still there, though.  Just chilling out.  Being a raccoon in some rocks.

Maybe it meant "skeletal" in the sense that the swallowman was very thin?
