[40A] flashing red block on the right third of the scree

yeah so...like the title says. One third of the dwarf window flickers between red and black when i play. It appears as soon as the window does, and continues after the game is loaded. It is the right piece that does it.

You may want to take this over to the Display Thread. Toady's updated how the game draws things, and it's making the screen throw up in multifaceted ways.
