Bolts and quivers

How do you cope with "single bolt in a quiver" syndrome?
(Except never ever claim a shot bolt)
It would be great if worn quivers were containers like bins and an archer filled it up to, say, 25 bolts from ammo piles.
As far as i can understand, now quiver can hold just single stack of bolts no-matter-what-size :(

Now?  It's always been that way.
Toady can't have them fill it up, since there's no way of checking how big the stack is, if he allowed them to put multiple stacks in there (also no way to combine) you could get multiple stacks of 25 as well.

A barrel can hold :
plump helmet (4)
plump helmet (3)
cave weat (2)
Any plant stack with size=1 could be put here too but no more than size=1.
If it works with food stacks why not reuse code for quivers?

Currently I'm planning to dump most of the single bolts lying around into a hole in the brook, hopefully they will wash away
eventually. Even my nice *Iron Arrows* will have to go.

If you have magma and feel like training a dwarf in smelting, melt the bolts down. If not, sell them to the caravan or dump them under a raised bridge to destroy them.

I sell the singles I recover to the caravans, along with the stone crafts, with the (narrow, small, and large) stuff going last, course with the elves only the iron and steel bolts get sold if they're clean. Made a stack of bolts from a dragon, got 80 bolts in that stack, so if you do elephant or Dragon herding, you can get really large stacks of bolts.
