Crashing save
« on: August 17, 2006, 12:39:00 am »

I have one Adventurer savegame that is broken -- DF crashes shortly after reload.  Just take one step to the north and boom : "Please report this problem to Microsoft".

It was generated by 21.95.19b, but crashes the newer versions too.

I've placed a zipped copy for download in my FTP space.

I took a copy of this and fixed it for the next version.  The save should run in it (once I get that posted).  There was some kind of broken with a nullified wrestling move hanging around.  I've since changed how they were stored, but I haven't traced the cause of the original error.

all right, I'll take a look at this.  The newest version might repair it if it isn't dead, but it could be a new problem.

I've another crashing save of my own, with the familiar inflate -3 error.

You can grab it here if you want: zip of .sav and region folder

I think (though I can't be sure) that this one was made with the most recent version. The save is from after the first caravan comes in.

I've seen a couple of these now (and am downloading yours).  They all crap out around the same place, so I know where the save had trouble, but I don't know how it could have happened without some kind of bad copy over saves, which I'm assuming isn't the issue since it has happened a lot.  Still working on it.
