I just had a sleeping Dwarf give birth to a baby. Not only that, but the baby crawled out of the bedroom afterwards and is amongst the other Dwarves now. The mother is sleeping still...

Was this intended? Because it seems rather... Unrealistic...

This has happened a couple times to me. I put something up in the bug reports forum.

It used to be "Urist McMother cancels sleep: zomg baby". Maybe the same change that made dwarves not interrupt sleep for injuries affected birthing too.

Dwarves are a bit tougher than humans, they don't start crying when a little bit o meat comes out for a change

It's giving birth on the battlefield that raises my eyebrow. Well, not the birth itself but the tendency to use the baby as a shield
