Or something along the lines of one?

Anything that would use this as a soundtrack basically.  :D

I can't listen to the soundtrack, but do you mean a Rube Goldberg Machine?

He does. I'm not sure if one has been done yet, but it would be neat to move a stone or something across the whole fort like that.

Unless you have no speakers, maybe this would work?

So, did anyone ever make one? There has to be someone more creative and less lazy than me that would enjoy this. :P

I invisioned a giant chain reaction of cave-ins the other day.  Pull a lever, to destroy a pillar, which causes stone to break through a floor, causing another cave-in, etc. etc.

And the finally?  Dumping all my nobles into the volcano.  ^___^

Haven't built it yet though, it would be SUCH a pain.

You could do something chain-reactiony with pressure plates and doors to move small, more or less exact quantities of water around your fort without having to worry about pressure.

Or, alternatively, small quantities of magma to liquefy stone in a stockpile. The delay moving the magma would (probably) mean that there was no dwarf in the way when the magma came...
