Fun Fact: Fire snakes have a valuable extract. If you can make glass vials, you can actually put your Trappers and Animal Dissectors to work making a valuable export.

Then again, the fortress military always needs warm bodies.

Babies should have extract. sounds innocent but then think of what the extract might be.
Store virgins in an area that does not exceed 30 degrees and gets plenty of light or dark depending on the quality of the virgin.

And thats total bull. I've had dwarves wearing fire imp leather AND bone clothes with no ill side effects. In a friggin' scorching desert. In 39e.
