Stacks of cloth artifact problem

A metalsmith of mine recently went into a mysterious mood, and collected two hunks of silver ore, and started demanding stacks of cloth. However, I have 4 stacks of silk cloth in a stockpile. Does silk cloth not count as the cloth he wants? (Just for clarification, he's not demanding any specific type of cloth.)

You checked his [z] thoughts, to see if he preferred a specific type of cloth?

They're never specific about what they want...  he could want plant cloth.  In the latest few versions, that's as picky as they get.  If he likes a specific plant cloth, it'll be a generic plant cloth he wants.

Ah, nevermind... The game crashed, after like 2 minutes unexplicably. I reloaded it and it crashed again, after the same amount of time had passed. Do you want me to send you the save file?

Sure.  I can always use crashing saves.  Just send toadyone@bay12games.com the "data\save# (or region# folder + region#.sav from that folder).  If you haven't upgraded to the latest version, it might be fixed already and you can try that first.
