Any good seeds for adventure mode?
« on: July 22, 2008, 10:56:10 pm »

Wondering if anyone had good ones for the new version. I know it's kinda luck of the draw with the new version so I had to ask. Looking for some mad challenges.

Looking, too. Could use some skeletal dragons.

What exactly constitutes a good Adventure map? Lots of Savage zones and Megabeasts? Where would one begin looking?

I'm gonna mess around with the parameters.

Pump up the Maximum and minimum cave paramaters. The more caves, the more megabeasts generated at Worldgen, and the more Megabeasts closer to towns.

Actually, the megabeasts will seek out and live in caves, but they won't spawn when there are more caves.  When there are caves that no one yet lives in, semi-megabeasts fill that void.  This is one of the reasons why caves are detrimental to civs around them.  Giants and cyclopes and ettins are all quite aggressive and attack in groups, usually.

Honestly, while it's not the best thing for Fortress mode, I think, the Legendary Lands mod is really great for adventure mode.  Tons of vicious creatures and megabeasts that are really challenges to kill.

More semi-megabeasts means that megabeasts have an easier time, if only because the adventurers who hunt them have a harder time.
