So yeah, long time DFer, first time Adventure Mode-er.

Anyways, I found a priest, and asked to join her religion. She seemed pleased enough, but I didn't think she said something one way or another about actually joining them. Anyways, I press K to talk to the mayor, when I notice the deity she worships now shows up in my talk menu. Indeed, I can talk to him no matter where I am. Not like it matters, as the guy responded with silence to every question I asked.

Is this new to this version? I haven't heard much about it. What's the point of it? Will they eventually talk to you? I noticed when I died, I was a 'dubious' worshiper of the deity. Does that have something to do with the silence?

The option to talk to deities has been there in previous versions in Adventure Mode, but right now I don't think it does anything. Just a taste of what's to come I suppose.

Once magic and the like are in you could probably pray by talking to your deity and asking for assistance or guidance, I think.

Upon arrival, you notice that the realm of gods is nothing more than an endless carrot patch and the deities, carrots.
