Edit: updated
Well, I was bored and thought about making a tile set. A while later, I still don't have a tileset, but now I have
this.
I put a bit of effort into this, but I want to know what you think before I spend days on it, so let me know what you think of it.
I made it in Game Maker as it's the only thing I know the language of, don't let that put you off if you know what it is. I really should learn C++ or something as I don't use any of the drag and drop stuff.
The controls are:
Left mouse button to draw with the main colour
Right mouse button to draw with the second colour
Space to change the main colour
control + space to change the second colour
enter to resize it, note that it clears the screen when you resize it.
control + enter to clear everything
mouse wheel to zoom
1 and 2 to switch which window your controlling.
window 1 is the current tile window, and is the window you draw on.
control + left click to move the window
window 2 is the tile set view
just left click to move it
the arrow keys move the selected tile around.
S saves the current image
O loads an image, note that you need to manually change the sizes. --
window dragging is better
3 selects the colour bar window
shift + arrow keys duplicate the tile in the corresponding direction.
shift copies the colour at the mouse.
on the colour bar window, left click to select a colour
use the mouse wheel to change the brightness
the left two squares are the main and second colours.
control + left click to move the window
--
If you like it I'll work on it more.
