I think Toady had a few notes about that in the original Armok. I sure hope so, anyway; multi-planar games are awesome.

Edit: And yeah, the giant I'm supposed to kill must be some sort of martial arts expert... never caused anything greater than a gray wound when I actually hit.

Yeah, undead megabeasts are a cool addition.

I just generated a world and had it go to year 400 before checking megabeast numbers. It ended then with only a single megabeast left, a dragon.
I looked the dragon up in Legends:


Now that sounded like a decent challenge to try and defeat.  :)

Sadly, it ended up being a bit of a pushover. I trained up a powerful human maceman in adventure mode for a couple of hours before heading after the zombie dragon. It got off one shot of fire breath, and then proceeded to get smashed about by my character. Since it was a zombie, it was already damaged, was moving slow, and kept falling down. It only took about 6-7 blows to kill it, and it didn't even get in a good hit.  :(

In my experience living dragons will burn to death if you wait around as a charred corpse; they set the woods on fire and then they die after a bit.

I can't seem to kill giants with hammermen or spearmen but killing them with bowmen is easy.  Using a modest ambushing skill and high bow skill, killing them is just a matter of time, but then wild packs of wolves rip me apart easily (animals that don't phase brawlers in iron chain).  :-/
