[39b] Falling down deconstructed stairs
« on: July 16, 2008, 10:43:51 pm »

I didn't see this reported elsewhere.

Not sure if this is so much a bug as it is a quirk.

I had dug many deep shafts that where just 1x1 on each z-level with an up down stair. At the top, on my main level, I had a bunch of constructed down stairs. I no longer needed the shafts, so to rid my self of them, I designated them to be deconstructed and then went to the bathroom.

When I got back I noticed that my idler number was high. Upon investigating, I found a dwarf stuck inside each shaft.

I can only assume that all the dwarfs deconstructed the stairs from below, or fell down them after deconstructing them?

They deconstruct from below (if there's no lateral access?).

In this case they did have lateral access, but a quirk it is then I suppose.
