The sun is setting to the east...
« on: July 15, 2008, 01:06:06 am »

I'm playing as an adventurer, and I couldn't help but notice that the sun is setting to the EAST.  Is this supposed to be happening?  Shouldn't it set in the west instead?

Well, assuming DF north is magnetic north, it's possible that in DF-world, the sun rises on your left as you face magnetic north, and sets on your right. Does that mean the direction names should change (making navigation really confusing for people who haven't noticed this), or that the sun just sets in the east?

I believe different worlds have different axes and such.  I also recall there being a few cases of there being more than one moon.

...Whoa.  Really?

This needs clarification.
