So, I had a bizarre ramp collapse issue and now both my miners are laid up with injuries, nothing life threatening. So it wouldn't be too bad except that I can't seem to pry their hands off the picks so I can assign other people to mine. I tried removing the mining job, forbidding the picks, and deconstructing the bed they're sleeping in. No dice, they still keep their picks in hand, and it's starting to get real irritating.

Any ideas on how to get these minors to relinquish their tools for the period fo their convalescence?

Maybe have them (the picks) dumped?  I think that should make someone take them away.
