I removed [BABYSNATCHER] and I get a seige every year, and my pop is at 37 =D

Yes, I can confirm that sieges are possible with less than 80 population, even without modifying the tags.

In the aftermath of a dragon attack on my fort, my population has been reduced to about 50, and a siege has just started.

Maybe once population reaches 80, it triggers the possibility of sieges happening, and they keep happening even if deaths cause population to drop below 80.
Most things in the game are triggerable. So this works the same way.
If you hit 80 the siege script for babysnatcher race is started and it won't stop.

I've had sieges when as low a population of 30-40, but that was several versions ago. I can't say if it been changed since then.

That particular fortress produced almost solely obsidian goods. Might have something to do with total wealth.

Speaking of removing the [BABYSNATCHER] tag, do I have to generate a new world after doing it? I generally play games without any mods (let's say I really like vanilla  :P), but my small-but-highly-trained Marksdwarf force could use a little action.  ;)
