You're kidding me. I used Maim/mamgozziril when I needed a last name for a Dwarf character I was playing on an RP site. He was a gunpowder specialist, it fit. :D

This is a world, not a fortress, but I just got Tar Alu, "The Land of Winds". Sweet.

I dug all over the goddamned place and didn't find it.

Just got Nishgim, trade twist.

Yeah, dropping traders down a 10 z-level hole is a bit of an interesting take on trading. Or not, considering the community has been doing it for years now.

Lashedpoint -- it was the second or third random when I hit the button a couple times.  It really matched the place:  scorching hot granite peak with a magma-filled caldera, high winds, and not a drop water.  Every minor injury was pretty much a death sentence.

It had a pretty crappy nation name, though:  "The Tower of Weakening."  Very terrifying guys.

I learned my lesson the time I took a hammer to the television set so I could smash it open and let all the little people inside free.
