Multiple Civs, and Custom Civs
« on: June 14, 2008, 09:38:00 am »

A few questions:

1) I read on the wiki that only one civilization (of a race?) will trade with you at a time, and one civilization will siege you at a time. What about custom civs? Will you get a caravan from each race type?

2) I want to play as goblins, but when looking at the civilization screen, I see a red "no trade" tag next to goblins. What does that mean?

I've been using custom civs for a while. I think you can trade with up to 3 civs (not counting your parent civ, and as long as they're aligned with you with [entity_grouping:x]. If you play with their [active_season] they can even all show up to trade at the same time.) one nuisance (AFAIK) and one seiger.

No trade means they can't trade with you, possibly on account of geography.

Goblins cannot trade with you because they are catagorized as an "evil" race, therefore, the most you can expect is being sieged by your own kind, if THAT even happens.

Give goblins a pack animal and they will trade with you.  In the native game, there are no animals that the goblins have that can carry cargo or pull wagons.  The easy way of doing this is simply giving goblins access to common domestic animals in their entity profile.

Naw, if you have a custom civ with [entity_grouping:evil] you will trade with other evil civs, and good civs (elves, humans) will besiege you.
