Wood not being stockpiled anymore...
« on: June 16, 2008, 11:38:30 pm »

??? My dwarves have completely stopped stockpiling wood for no reason whatsoever.

Now whenever my dwarves want to use wood they go pick up the wood where it was chopped and take it where it's needed. As I have no source of coal aside from charcoal, this creates a MASSIVE bottleneck in my metalworking operations

I've tried defining the area with the logs as a stockpile and using "take from stockpile"; I've also tried dumping them to a garbage dump. My dwarves simply refuse to touch the wood unless they're going to carry it to a workshop and use it right that moment.

What the heck is going on?

I guess by "for no reason" I should have said "because I screwed up somewhere", which I suspected was the problem anyway.  :-[

Thanks a ton.
