Magma Forges

I hope this isn't a really stupid quesion.. but I want to build a magma forge. Normally this is no problem, I go to workshops then I select magma forge and place it. But for some reason it's not there on the list?? Neither is magma smelter or glass smelter. Is the problem that I don't have an architect with sufficient skill? Or have I somehow accidentally modified the game..  :(

You can only build them if you've found a magma pool or pipe, I believe.

Also, if you've used Tweak to Reveal the map BEFORE finding the magma, you'll have to use the "enable magma buildings" thing to build magma buildings.
