Bakersscale - A Whale of Tale
« on: March 26, 2008, 12:55:00 am »

This is just a story based on true events that happened while in adventuring as my modded race in progress.

It was a rainy morning in Bakersscale, a town so normal that it was practically unique in it ubiquitousness, or so it seemed. Just a collection of boring wooden building spaced out in an otherwise wild land. No place for an Aurashimmered! Only the sound of the rain pattering on the ground could be heard as Sathra walked out of the mayors house after a lengthy chat with him about the area.

The first thing she noticed as she walked out was two groundhogs attacking a child. The sheer horror of it! That these humans would let such brutal beasts as groundhogs into their town and attack their children! One groundhog was punched by the child and had it's heart pearcied by the child's fist, these humans sure taught their children how to fight young. Sathra quickly drew her sword and charged the second groundhog. With one fell sweep she sent it flying through te air with a gash going through both it's lungs, heart and it's spine. And THEN she heard the sound. It was a innocuous splash as first, if a loud splash, but it was followed by a truley brutal smacking as if something massive was flailing in a bathtub.

Sathras stealthily went north towards the sound and saw one of the towns completely normal pools. A wolf stood on the other side- NO WAIT- a whale. The first thought that went through Sathras's head was what the fuck is a whale doing here AND out of the water?. The second thought was How the fuck did I Mistake a whale for a wolf?. And the third thought was Well it must be because they both start with a wubbleyew. By the time she finished these thoughts she was at the pool edge and another whale in the pool reached up and tried to flip her off with it's tail. It completely missed and quickly got a sword shoved through it that pierced both it's lungs and sent it flying backwards. Quietly, Sathras withdrew away from the pool edge and waited. A human came along to the whale that was standing on the other side of the pool and punched it in the head, this quickly escalated as the whale retaliated and more humans started running towards the melee. One human even had his head smashed into his body by the whale! Enough! Such a noble beast shouldn't be attacked in such a dishonourable way by lowly humans! I'll fix this myself! Sathras thought. And with that she charged accross the pool and killed smout the humans unto the dolomite and grass ground.

Now more humans were coming up to the pool and two of them were armed. Swiftly, Sathras charged these guards as well and dispatched them with ease but the whales still fought the several other humans along the pool edge. Only one human remained standing around the pool. Skirting around the edges of the pool Sathras clove the peasant asunder and send him flying over the water to land on the other side. Then she turned around and struck the human behind her, sending him flying backwards as well. This continued for a while as well, Sathras going around the pool to kill approaching humans and save the whales. She killed a couple more peasants and a human guild representative, corporate buggers! and also two whales charged onto the land. Two more guards and a priest were struck down by the might of Sathras' sword. Then all became still. More than ten human corpses littered the ground nearby by all her effort had been for nought. Two whales had drowned on the land and three more had died in the water and the only one left standing was out of the water and couldn't get back in. Some of those whales had fought bravely and deserved a proper name she thought and so were the two whales who had charged out of the pool named: Dahbulrane, "Rampageknighted" and Dirlumithrup, "Drinkbetwitched". One of the whales in the pool was named
Ezifposhi, "Stokemarkets". Names fitting for heroes, these brave whales had surely deserved a place with the gods.

Yeah. I found a bunch of whales in a stagnant pool in the middle of a town and decided to save the whales. Didn't work but I did kill lots of peasants, guards, priests, a corporate bugger... Perhaps someone would like to answer Sathras' question of how the whales got there in the first place?

They wanted to see if Cloverfield was playing at the local movie's.
More seriously, its one of those things Toady has yet to look into...or has he? Whats more fun then whales rampageing through a village. Picture a whale slideing arcross the undergrowth, and eating the weak human guards. Quite comical.
