Did a search on it a bit earlier today as I wanted to find out about something, and I did the search "blocks" - only to come up with a bunch of links to misc porn sites that some asshole (unless there is such a think as "wiki bots") apparently put up there.

I removed it all of course, but there might be a tiny chance that other areas in the Wiki might contain similar crap. So if anyone finds any other junk on there, just get rid of it ASAP.

One of the disadvantages to a wiki, anybody can change it. A advantage to a wiki is, anyone can change it. Also, if you do spot major crap (like the content beforehand was deleted), don't delete it. Just revert to a previous version.

You do this by pressing 'History' on top of the page, click on the most recent version that hasn't been vandalized. This should take you to a page that shows you it. Go to 'Edit' on top, copy everything. Then go to the vandalized page, click 'Edit', delete what's in it and paste it. Under Summary, type revert after vandalism or something.

Nope, not on the DF Wiki, I was able to check the code and save without an account.

If it becomes a problem, can't the pages all become semi-protected?  That way anyone with a registered account who isn't a new member can edit pages.

uh... if you can't edit anything, why would you register? I have never seen people who would register at wikis now, to get the ability to do anything several weeks later.

Meh, I'm not too used to all this Wiki stuff, but thanks for the tips - I'll keep it in mind if I ever spot nasty stuff again.

Aaaaah! I remember you. Been to V3 lately though? There's a New World server happening at the moment - basically a second server without any of the flaws that the original game has accumulated. Open beta is in fact the 15th this month

We've crossed paths before too I think, I remember seeing you post on the Mount&Blade forums when I checked it. I don't think I registered and asked though. I've just managed to kick my DF addiction off, as the nobles got to frustrating. I only stopped playing because I'm waiting for the new version to come out. I'll be sure to check out the open beta, what's new?

Meh, this is really OT, but...

As for what's new in Astonia and the second server - well, it's harder now. Force welding is gone at last and replaced by a really nice item system. Clan system is also revamped. PvP seems to actually work properly and classes are more balanced against each other. It's a heckload, just check the New World section. You can apply and get in the semi-closed beta now if you want to...those who apply get in now, once Ish gives you access. It's basically this tiny formality that will be eliminated once it goes open beta...well, that and a total reset before of course...

Hmmm, new item system, will have to give it a try.  I never really liked a lot of the changes when Astonia went into v3.

I'll wait for Open Beta. Sure it's a true Open Beta though? Not only for people with a subscription? And how's the rest doing? I remember Switchblade, but I don't remember other names unfortunately.

Rest? People come and go..mostly go due to the game ending up too boring for the oldest of players. Switch quit a while ago as well, so. People might end up returning to the new world server though.
