Size vs. Damage
« on: February 11, 2008, 04:29:00 pm »

Has any study been done on how much damage scales with size? A lot of creatures share the same damage range, but being bitten by a dragon hurts more than being bitten by a cat.

I want to make a small, but deadly creature. I'm just uncertain what values to put on a size 4 creature that would give it a powerful attack, but not be over the top.

You can always make it's attacks something like this:
[ATTACK:MAIN:BYTYPE:MOUTH:bite:bites:2:4:GORE][ATTACKFLAG_CANLATCH]
[ATTACK:SECOND:BYTYPE:GRASP:slash:slashes:1:4:GORE][ATTACKFLAG_WITH]
The two numbers are the damage it does. I think that giant spiders and such are 1:6, but you may have to look around to find some examples of what each number will do.

You can also change the other stuff to say what it attacks with and what kind if damage it does.
