Widened text[request]
« on: February 21, 2008, 12:35:00 am »

I'm using a square (16x16) tileset, but the gaps in between characters make the screen look stretched, e.g.
code:
S l a v e s  t o  A r m o k

.
I believe someone made a character set with widened text characters, but the search button didn't find anything. Anyone still have it or willing to share their own?

You'll get used to it.

Otherwise, I can offer no help whatsoever.

Consider this post useless if you must.

Best place to look would be here on the wiki: http://www.dwarffortresswiki.net/index.php/List_of_user_character_sets

There are a few with wider text characters used.

Unless you're using one of those "narrow-character-in-square-font" sets, you should get no gaps between letters. You will, on the other hand, get gaps if you set the resolution too wide for the font, and have black space set to on.
