Ah.  Okay, I get it now (only took me a couple tries...).  Yeah, that makes sense, and it would open up a whole new world of modding for DF.  Mules might actually be able to spawn ingame, instead of the current mysterious origins of the creature.

You could even set up the whole insect forming process, with all the various egg, pupae and larval stages.  Ant fortress, anyone?  You would even be able to reference the different "classes" within the one species, such as the queen, workers, soldiers, and supersoldiers.  Sounds quite nice.

Ah well.  One can always dream, eh?  At the current state of affairs, however, there's not much preventing me from making a "Battle of the Sexes" mod (except for my better judgement), with warring civilizations of men and women.

Sure, they wouldn't breed, but we all know that they're just getting beamed in from their home planets; Mars and Venus.

By the way, how is the full version of SC?  I only ever played the demo.

Hey, that could make half elves!

Er... Couldn't it?  I'm confused.

Mules would require the same kind of prerequisites as half-elves (sounds a bit strange...), so yeah, it would be possible if it were set up to accommodate crossbreeding.

At the moment however, it's still a no-go.

I can already see one of you jerks tempting the OCD types with FF7 style chocobo breeding.  :P
