Any way to mod wood to not be available for building wit

Is there any way to mod wood so that it does not appear on the build item with menu (after setting where to build, say, a masons workshop) Perhaps make it like an economic stone so i can turn it on and off. Would there be anyway to do this with bars too? I currently use the mineral mod btw.

Well... not yet. I'm sure it can be done; otherwise, how could they have a setup where you can toggle stones as usable or not?

I haven't seen anything for it as of yet.

If you got rid of trees, there would be no wood to build with.

Great idea: Remove all biome tokens from all trees. Then make various tree "creatures" that are sessile on land and drown in water. These types mimic the original biome types of the trees. As they are sessile, they cannot move but will give birth and appear at various locations on the map. Make their corpses drop multiple logs of the appropriate type.

Wow, great idea actually. It would be like in Armok 1, you could punch a tree down if you were strong enough. Now, how to prevent my crossbowdwarves from shooting the buggers...

Hmm...I've never been a big fan of CCGs - I mean, I did and still do collect Pokemon cards, but I never got heavily into the battling and trading thing.

By definition that makes you a fan since you still buy them.

That mod wouldn't help with the OP, however.


I think the best way is to forbid your logs from the stocks screen, no mod required.
