I remember reading about some modification that gives you greater control over the material you use to make things in the mandate screen.  I can't find it, and my searches have turned up a few hits that seem to do that but include a bunch of new material types.  I just want to tell my masons to [ Make Obsidian Blocks: 30 ]

Any suggestions?

AFAIK the manager menu (I assume this is what you mean by 'mandate screen') is hardcoded and can't be modded.

The only thing I can think of is a mod that made all stone types economic stones so you could disable all except the stone you want used when making an item.

hmm yes that would be farily easy to mod then so ty toast not my topc but i learned something =p
