I was thinking about that- what if I made a fortress purely to get as much addy as possible, put it all to trade, raw, and then abandoned the fortress. Then start another fortress as close as possible, abandon it, and use a VERY strong adventurer to move it over. This doesn't work?

From my knowledge of what he did, I think the save was already corrupted and waiting to crash.

Nope cuz i retried it again first you cannot order your dwarves to move addy items into the depot.

They will be scattered everywhere when you go back but if you take them and go to another fortress it will crash everytime as far as i have seem.

I think the best way to make an addy fortress is a series of reclaims. By modding the creature files to drop addy items upon death and some creative use of Cheat-o-matic you can have a massive addy fort! But doing that also cause a lot of time to pass in your game.
