Did I leave the oven on?

If I leave a machine doing something, like, say, a giant faucet made entirely of microline with a u-bend in it that's permaflooding an entire human village, and abandon a fortress, then come back in adventure mode, will it still be running?

As you journey to the center of the world, feel free to read the death announcements of those dwarves that suffer your neglect.

One billion b-balls dribbling simultaneously throughout the galaxy. One trillion b-balls being slam dunked through a hoop throughout the cosmos. I can feel every single b-ball that has ever existed at my fingertips, I can feel their collective knowledge channeling through my veins. Every jumpshot, every rebound and three-pointer, every layup, dunk and free throw.

The spinning !!data!! hits your CPU. It is mangled!
The CPU feels sluggish.
Your FPS flies off on a bloody arc!

The water seemed to have lowered and to stop advancing. I never got the chance to determine anything with definite clarity, however, due to the reason given above.
