The tale of Edėm Osodangrir.
« on: December 19, 2007, 08:11:00 pm »

Edėm was a typical dwarf, drafted into his mountainhome's military once the leader realized he was a soaper, the leader said that the draft was for "The common good", but Edėm knew it was because he was useless. He detested his home, safe as it was, it was always a very militarized and unsuited for living as a low-class dwarf.

Ever since he was a boy Edėm always dreamt about what the outside world was like, and if his Mountainhome was really the richeous and prosperous place they always claim it to be. He's been in the military for 5 years and has never seen a single conflict, causing his hatred for his home to only grow more and more. One night it reached it's climax, and he climbed down the walls of his room, reaching the bottom of the mountain's huge walls in seven hours, he realized, he was free. He could do anything he wanted, which was amazing.

This is where it begins.

He ran. South, into the unknown. After a week, he was attacked by a pack of Blendecs, and was killed in a matter of minutes, his body left to be eaten by the beasts of the night.

Moral of this story: Dont emigrate.

One billion b-balls dribbling simultaneously throughout the galaxy. One trillion b-balls being slam dunked through a hoop throughout the cosmos. I can feel every single b-ball that has ever existed at my fingertips, I can feel their collective knowledge channeling through my veins. Every jumpshot, every rebound and three-pointer, every layup, dunk and free throw.

It took me longer to write the story than to die. Now that's sad.

Was that intended? You know, the death? Could have been a great story. I recommend trying again.

Question: What's a blendec?

a foul Blendec is a mutated Satyr-found in evil forests in big packs.

Looking at the dwarf's equipment, I'm inclined to think it WAS intentional. Of course, I could be wrong.

Stories dont always turn out to be the epic adventure people always expect them to be.

I expected to die, but not on the first ambush.
