Does this apply only to plant fibers or all of plant fibers, wool, and silk?

I don't see why it shouldn't affect any material which can be fashioned into thread. Why? Do you have evidence that suggests it doesn't?

P.S. If you don't get this note, let me know and I'll write you another.
It's amazing how dwarves can make a stack of bones completely waterproof and magmaproof.
It's amazing how they can make an entire floodgate out of the bones of 2 cats.

I thought it would be applied to all cloth until now, but when I experimented with the group wearing pig tail shirts and the group wearing spider silk shirts in Arena Mode, the group wearing silk shirts always won overwhelmingly.

Silk has superior mechanical properties compared to plant cloth, the shear strength is orders of magnitude higher than that of plant cloth. That may be the cause of the silk group winning.
