Can't get Sound Sense to work
« on: December 02, 2023, 02:42:16 pm »

That is, the program from http://df.zweistein.cz/soundsense/

I installed Java from https://www.oracle.com/java/technologies/downloads/ for Linux but the program returns

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/fusesource/jansi/AnsiConsole
   at cz.zweistein.df.soundsense.util.log.LoggerSource.<clinit>(Unknown Source)
   at cz.zweistein.df.soundsense.SoundSense.<clinit>(Unknown Source)
Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.fusesource.jansi.AnsiConsole

   at java.base/java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:526)

when run. What can I do?

Not on linux, but from a functional perspective for adding sounds + audio alerts I've had luck with https://github.com/prixt/soundsense-rs (an implementation of soundsense in the Rust programming language). There is a linux release, so you might have luck with that?
