tree-burning needs heavier consequences
« on: March 21, 2007, 04:32:00 pm »

One time I was playing an evil type and I decided to set some of the trees in a human town on fire. A few people died, but the citizens didn't turn against me until I tried to depopulate the town with my bare hands.

I made another character, an elf, and set the forest retreat on fire but they gave the same lack of response.

Well, yes, that DOES make sense. I mean, if you walked into a place and set a tree on fire, and it killed someone or something, your guy should be held responsible. At least, that's how -I- think it should be.

I was like, ha, this looks like a pretty dumb and boring game. I was so wrong. Gentlemen, I have discovered true fun.

People don't even notice fire at this time; dwarves will buy clothes that are on fire and then put them on.

I'm sure eventually acts of destruction and vandalism will cause problems.

I really enjoy it when something is chasing me, and i run past a plant or tree, set it on fire, and its like dropping an obstacle in front of them   :D I've never successfully caught a live animal on fire though.

picking up a loincloth from a store table and putting it down again apparently justifies the guards to put an iron bolt through you head

incinerating the whole city only results in your character dehydrating while watching

I agree, arson should be punished... if you're caught.
