At the elaboration, Clarisse looks... Not too surprised, but also a bit disappointed, rubbing her head a little bit, "Really? Dammit, and I even bought that guy a drink for the info" she stated, before grabbing one of the cookies from Almen and quickly popping it into her mouth,

"Well, faulty tales aside, the main purpose coming here is rather simple. I want to lend my services to you. I'm sure you have plenty of capable hands, however, I happen to have some skills of my own" Clarisse explained, somehow still completely clear despite the fact that she was still eating the cookie, as she pulled out a dagger from her belt, twirling it around in her hand, "I don't consider myself a fighter per se. But anything requiring a bit of subterfuge is something I can easily handle. Locked door, trapped chests, heavily patrolled corridors, anything that needs a bit of finesse is right up my alley" she said, raising her other hand from her cloak to reveal a second cookie, from the same batch that Almen had just revealed, popping it into her mouth after showing it off,

"Mm, these are pretty good. Might actually have to learn the secret to them."

"Ah, the good old mouthful dagger-twirl to draw attention while you swipe a second cookie. Classic. Too bad for you that I have seen it all in his uneventful life."
Almen smiles as he closes the lid of the cookie box.
"Children who behave may get a third cookie, yes, yes."
"I can indeed see in which category your skills belong to. Very well, Clarisse, we shall discuss your compensation in due time. Until further notice, you're allowed to move freely and are entitled to a daily meal at the kitchen plus a sleeping spot in the mansion where the communal fireplace is at. Once more, I welcome you at the outpost."
With these words, Dunas departs and enters the mansion.
"Humm... Whatever happened during his visit at Castle Lornen, it seems to have changed him. Just a few days ago, he would have behaved differently. Still accepting your offer, but he would have been... I guess more humble is a good term."
He pulls out a cookie to eat for himself before he hands another one over to Clarisse, plus one to Emilia.
"Guess Uncle Almen needs to spoil the good people around here with twice the effort to make up for it, ahaha."

"Yeah, me neither. Been thinking stuff like, should anythin' change now that ah have some big blood in me? Maybe ah'm related to some top brass, but clearly they didn't want me. Why should ah want them?"
Noel kicks a twig away to emphasize her statement.
"Plus, me being entitled to land? Or, let's be funny, me being some princess? A good laugh, ah can't even manage a home, much less a large patch o' dirt. And look at good elegant me!"
She makes a mockery of a curtsy, obviously exaggerated while chuckling.
"... But, sure, am as clueless what to do now as you are. Eh, maybe we'll figure out something. 'Sides, blood ain't worth crap unless someone wants it spilled."

"I have my options, the problem is that none of them are clear choices. I have unfinished business in Dunland, so if Dunas does what he ought to do and decides to go re-found a Mamkute country, I'm left on my own again."
