How do i stop the text getting cut off in the new ui?

does anyone know how to expand the text area so i can see what items i'm selecting to build something with?
the names for the items are cut off and i haven't figured out how to expand them

Usually you'd mess with the UI scale, but you can't do that for ASCII mode yet.
