I rashly deleted the archer uniform and now my marksdwaves have no ammunition due to this bug https://dwarffortress.mantishub.io/view.php?id=0012008. I didn't work out what was going wrong for a long time so the autosaves are no help. Is there anything I can do to restore it? I'm quite attached to this fort and it's just not the same without being able to rain death from above on invaders.

Edit: It's okay I just found Shonai_Dweller's solution in this thread http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=181082.0. Selecting a custom uniform with a crossbow when the squad is first created seems to work.

Now I just have to worry about the other bug which crashes the game every other time a uniform is assigned.
