Why won't they speak to me?

I have recently started a nice adventurer game, and have succesfully defeated a minotaur to complete a quest. But, now all of sudden when I try to speak to people they all say "Don't talk to me." What is going on?!

Did you leave a store with any of the $$ items?  This means that they regard you as a criminal.

When this happens, you have little recourse but to mercilessly destroy the town and slaughter all of its inhabitants.

Good luck. Just watch out for the arrows. I always do pretty well if I watch out for the archers and stay close to the edges of the map. That way if I do get a serious injury I can just leave and come back so I dont bleed to death.
