I've always been very curious about some of the specifics of world generation, so any information concerning that has always been of interest to me. Yesterday, I was reading the interview between Gamasutra and Toady, where he gives a fairly detailed look into both world generation and the fluid/pressure simulation used by DF.

Anyways, since I figured that there are others interested in the underlying process, I added a new section to the page concerning World Generation in the Dwarfwiki. It gives an overall breakdown of the steps DF goes through to generate a playable world.

This makes me wonder, does Toady have a...I guess there called accounts...on the DFwiki?

Maybe he posts modding stuff incognito.  I wonder if he ever did something like that and then somebody came by and said 'No, thats wrong.'? Heh.
