Cage trap capacity increased?
« on: December 26, 2022, 08:57:35 pm »

Has this always been a thing, or is it new for 50.0x?
I have multiple bad guys walking in (at different times) and being caught in a single cage trap.

Handy. But did cages really need to be even more powerful than they already are?

uh, it looks like those are all different cages, and that your dwarves reloaded the trap.

the three cages all have different quality levels

But were they able to do that before?
I don't remember ever having dwarves load up a cage trap with multiple cages.

It looks unusual because there is no Animal stockpile set up for caged creatures, so the full cages sit there. Then a dwarf reloads the trap and leaves, then another creature wanders into the trap, etc.

There is something to be said about, if the stakes are as high, maybe reconsider your certitudes. One has to be aggressively allistic to feel entitled to be able to trust. But it won't happen to me, my bit doesn't count etc etc... Just saying, after my recent experiences I couldn't trust the public if I wanted to. People got their risk assessment neurons rotten and replaced with game theory. Folks walk around like fat turkeys taunting the world to slaughter them.

Plenty of room in my Animal stockpile, thanks.
Guess it's something to do with the new very low priority given to hauling that I never saw it in previous versions.

In the screen shot it looks like the cages are forbidden.

Likely due to standing orders.
