Hey guys. It used to be possible to see gods in the steam version when looking at the relations screen of a dwarf. But in the steam version, there doesn't seem to be any way to see them from there. Is there another hidden screen or something, or has this just been removed from the game? (the only workaround I have right now is to make statues of those gods and view them from there, yet that's pretty laborious)

You should ask the person who started the Irratan Nam succession fort.  It’s a new fort that seems to be using the new version, so maybe they know!

Can't get a specific description of any given god, but going to a zone and trying to create a new temple, it lets you pick which god to dedicate the temple to. That, at least, provides a list of the names of gods worshipped in your fortress along with their spheres. I think you'll only get a description from the statue-making menu.

What about legends mode?

The only way to see them is in Legend mode. It's only searchable with the name, you cannot use something helpful like 'Goddess' or 'God'.

Basically what was giving some flavor to the world has been made hard to reach. No more export for example.

Well, if you need then name, then why not use DFHack to open legends mode right from the game?

If you just need the god's name, that still shows up under relationships for any of their worshippers.

DFHack is not available for Steam version.

Well, how about making a bunch of statues of the various deities and then building them each in their own temple?  Also, maybe build an altar and put a slab of meat on the altar and wait until a magic purple cloud appears…
